Veteran Nollywood actress, Liz Benson’s second daughter, Lilian Etim also known as Chef Leelee is set to walk down the aisle with her partner, Promise Ugochukwu later on this month.

Chef Leelee who recently got engaged and pictured above with her mum, will be tying the knots traditionally on the 31st of March while her white wedding follows a week later, April 8th.

Don Jazzy fans mock the lady who professed her love for him

Don Jazzy’s fans are taking no chill, as they taunt the lady who declared her undying love for the Mavin Boss saying she’s nothing but a big joke. Some had to mock her accent and her looks, saying she’s probably deranged.

Recall that the Netherlands-based Nigerian woman made a video of herself, crying and begging the music don to love and marry her. The video, which has since gone viral, is a pitiable sight of a woman desperately and hopelessly in love, begging and crying, telling the whole world of her undying love. Don Jazzy “I swear to God I’m in love with Don Jazzy. Please Don Jazzy love me. I am still single and you are still single, this is not funny. This is not a joke. I am in love with Don Jazzy (sobbing)” she said in tears, sobbing and wiping off the tears.

On and on the comments poured in to make mockery of the girl in the video. Yet, in the end, most of the people who commented wanted to know when Don Jazzy will tie the nuptial knot and with who? According to most of them, if the music maker has made his girl known the girl in the video would have been discouraged.

Laim Payne, member of popular boy-bandOne Direction has welcomed his first child with his girlfriend, Cheryl. The Wolverhampton-born singer who is on an 18-month hiatus with the rest of his One Direction bandmates took to his Instagram page to share a photo of him holding his child and said:

My close friends and family know there are very few times when I’m left speechless… wow! I’m incredibly happy to welcome our new baby boy into the world, it’s a moment that I will never forget for the rest of my life and my favourite memory I have so far. I’m completely in awe of his incredible mother and how she has been the whole way through this, she’s really made my dreams come true. We haven’t named him yet but he’s already capturing hearts including mine. I feel very blessed. Happy Mother’s Day everyone!

Four Principals die in road accident

Four women were confirmed dead and six injured when a bus allegedly conveying members of the Association of Nigeria Conference of Principals of Secondary Schools (ANCOPSS) somersaulted along Benin-Warri express road.

The accident occurred between Oghara and Mosogar in Ethiope-East LGA of Delta State,Vanguard reports. According to an eyewitness, who spoke on condition of anonymity, the school principals were said to be travelling to Kwale in Ndokwa West Local Government Area of the State, for a meeting.

“The bus had just left Oghara and was on its way to pick two other principals who were waiting to join them   at Okirigwre in Sapele, when close to Mosogar town, the bus had a burst tyre, lost control and somersaulted”, the eye witness said. “Two of the Principals died on the spot while the two others died at the Delta State University Teaching   Hospital, Oghara”

Lagos gives ultimatum on Land Use Charge payment

Defaulters Risk 15 Percent Discounts, Accrued Penalties The Lagos State Government, yesterday, gave landed property owners till April 14 to pay the state Land Use Charge, or they risk losing the benefit of enjoying 15 per cent discount for paying the levy.

The Director, Public Affairs, Ministry of Finance, Mrs. Modupe Ileyemi, in a statement, said the state government is keen on early payment of the land-use charge to ensure the state continues to excel and its citizens enjoy the laudable programmes of the present administration.

Ileyemi, in a statement, said it is important to note that late payment or non-payment of the Charge on an annual basis will attract accrued penalties and accumulation of arrears, which is why prompt payment is strongly advised.

She said: “The Land Use charge is a consolidation of all property and land based rates and charges payable under the Land Rates Law, the Neighbourhood Improvement Charge Law and Tenement Rates Law in Lagos State. The revenue accrued from this charge is used for infrastructural development in the state.”.
